RaceTech is proud to announce a new long-term partnership agreement with Chester Racecourse and
its sister track Bangor-On-Dee.
Chester Racecourse is the oldest operational racecourse in the World, staging the Boodles May
Festival, home to many prestigious races, including the Chester Vase, Cheshire Oaks and the Chester
Cup. Bangor-On-Dee, meanwhile, is North Wales’ only racecourse and stages jumps racing all-year
round.
The new partnership spans five years covering all outside broadcast requirements, racecourse TV
(RCTV) and media services. Also included is the provision of raceday integrity services such as photo
finish, race timing and starting stalls.
RaceTech CEO John Bozza expressed his delight at the new signing saying, “We are very pleased to
extend our long association with both courses. Chester is a stunning and unique racecourse hosting
many quality days on the famous Roodee and Bangor-On-Dee stands out as a year-round jumps track
with its own special charm and characteristics.
“We look forward to using advanced technology and innovation to maximise the quality and content
of their outside broadcasts and providing enhanced RCTV production to benefit audience
communication and interaction.”
Steve Davies, Chief Operating Officer at Chester Race Company, which owns both racecourses, said:
“We are really pleased to have signed a new long-term contract with RaceTech to provide their
broadcast expertise and deliver essential raceday services to Chester and Bangor-On-Dee. RaceTech
continue to innovate in the industry, and we are looking forward to maximising the benefits of their
technology and coverage to continue showcasing our amazing racecourses and enhancing the oncourse
experience for all our guests.”
