RaceTech, the technical provider to British Horseracing, is delighted to have extended its existing archive agreement with the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) for a further five years from
September 2021.
The official BHA racing archive, housing original footage of races going back several decades, will continue to be managed by RaceTech. As part of the new long term agreement RaceTech has
committed to upgrade the capability of the archive, giving it the ability to perform ultra-quick ingests of race recordings using existing connectivity infrastructure. This will enable the system to store and make available races within minutes of being run.
The extended partnership covers a further upgrade by RaceTech of the successful DreamCatcherTM live production system installed by Evertz. The sophisticated technology introduced two years ago by RaceTech is already used to provide remote reviews of races by stewards and will now be made available across the whole of the RaceTech outside broadcast fleet.
Brant Dunshea, Chief Regulatory Officer BHA said, “We are pleased to have signed this new agreement with RaceTech. Technology and innovation continues to play an important part in race
day officiating, and the sport’s partnership with RaceTech has been critical in the advances that have been made in recent years.”
Mo Goyal, Sr. Director for International Business Development at Evertz added, “We are excited about the BHA and RaceTech partnership extension. We look forward to continuing our relationship with RaceTech on delivering innovative technology for BHA on both race day officiating and operations.”
John Bozza, CEO RaceTech commented, “We are very pleased to have extended our partnership with the BHA. The RaceTech team are experts in live sports production and I am delighted we will
continue to support the BHA in this critical aspect of race day operations.”
