RaceTech launches its latest Outside Broadcast Unit - OBX

RaceTech is proud to present OBX the latest and largest outside broadcast unit to join its recently expanded fleet.

OBX has been specifically designed as a ten-metre single expander unit built on a Volvo chassis with air suspension. It has a seven-seat main production area and is capable of seating a maximum crew of 17.

OBX will typically be used for the larger festivals and meetings up and down the country and has an impressive technical portfolio capable of catering for a multitude of requirements at large broadcast events. The new OB Unit has two separate production areas including a 3ME vision mixer and two graphics positions for creating bespoke feeds on and off course. The second production area has a 64 channel sound desk to deal with complex presentation requirements with a 1ME vision mixer panel used in mixing a sub programme.

RaceTech’s new flagship unit also boasts a 16 channel server based replay system which is wired for additional capacity which may be increased for larger events. OBX is capable of monitoring up to 32 cameras in total and can produce five separate program outputs independently.

John Bozza RaceTech CEO expressed his delight saying, “I am proud to welcome OBX into ourexisting fleet of high spec broadcast units and congratulate our design and project management teams on completing a period of significant expansion for RaceTech. OBX is the fourth new build to come into operation since the start of the year. I look forward to seeing it at work supporting our customers and racecourse stakeholders and am excited by the additional service capabilities it canprovide.”
